Sue Mythen  /  Movement Director

Based in Dublin, Sue is an award-winning movement director working in theatre, opera and film.  She is Head of Movement at The Lir Academy, TCD.

Recent credits include Citysong (Abbey/Soho), The Lost O’Casey (ANU), If We Got Some More Cocaine I Could Tell You How I Love You (Project); On Raftery’s Hill (Abbey); Crestfall (Druid); Private Peaceful (Verdant Productions); Radamisto (NI Opera); The White Devil (Shakespeare’s Globe) and The Heiress (The Gate).

Other credits include The Sin Eaters, On Corporation Street, Sunder, Pals: The Irish at Gallipoli and Angel Meadow (ANU); Oedipus, The Shadow of a Gunman (Abbey/Lyric); R.U.R  (YTI / Abbey), Hedda Gabler, Twelfth Night, The Plough and the Stars, Heartbreak House, 16 Possible Glimpses, The House, The Rivals, Pygmalion and Major Barbara (Abbey Theatre); Displaced, which she co-created for the 2015 Montreal Fringe Festival and Singapore Festival 2018; Elektra (Canadian Opera Company); Worstward Ho (Mouth on Fire/Theatre X_cai, Tokyo); Semele (RIAM) and Dead Man Walking (Opera Ireland).
