Annabelle Comyn / Director
Annabelle Comyn is an award-winning Irish theatre director, Artistic Director of Hatch Theatre Company, and Director in Residence at The Lir, the National Academy of Dramatic Arts, Ireland.
She has been directing for theatre for 24 years, and has worked with The Abbey, Druid, The Gate, Dublin Theatre Festival and the Lyric Theatre, Belfast among others.
Productions include Dubliners: an opera (OTC); Crestfall by Mark O’Rowe (Druid, as part of the 2017 Galway International Arts Festival); Helen and I (Druid); The Wake, Hedda Gabler, Major Barbara, The House (Irish Times Irish Theatre Award for Best Director), Pygmalion, A Number and Blue/Orange (Abbey Theatre); Dancing at Lughnasa (Lyric Theatre, Belfast and DTF); Contractions and The Sit (Bewley’s Café Theatre); and Look Back in Anger and The Vortex (Gate Theatre, Dublin).
For Hatch Theatre Company, plays include The Talk of the Town (in a co-production with Landmark Productions and Dublin Theatre Festival), Love and Money, Further Than the Furthest Thing, Cruel and Tender, Pyrenees, Blood and The Country.
